Porodaedalea pini is a wood-decaying bracket fungus that grows on old Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris). It infects the heartwood, causing a slow rot that weakens the tree over time. The fungus produces hard, perennial fruiting bodies and is typically found on pines older than 100–150 years. It is considered an indicator species of old-growth pine forests.
