The Irek Mosque in Kazan is a contemporary Muslim place of worship, constructed in relatively recent years. It is distinguished by its elegant architectural design and its location in the historic heart of the city. The name “Irek,” derived from the Tatar language, translates as “freedom” or “will.”
Symbolically, the mosque embodies the ideas of freedom and inner strength, reflecting its spiritual message. According to some sources, its construction was initiated in memory of a loved one, adding a deeply personal and commemorative dimension to the project.
Construction began in 2015 under the patronage of the BlagoDareniye Charitable Foundation, with the architectural design developed by the Evgeny Bolotny Architectural Workshop. The mosque was completed in the summer of 2018, and the first congregational prayer was held in August of the same year during the celebration of Eid al-Adha.
The mosque is located at 5 Fedoseevskaya Street, on the Kremlin Embankment in Kazan, surrounded by significant historical landmarks.
The site was rapidly captured using an Insta360 X5 camera, completing the full scan in under ten minutes. The raw data was then refined through Nuhá Tech’s advanced reconstruction and image-processing pipeline, featuring intelligent human removal and diffusion-based visual enhancement. This process delivers exceptional clarity and realism while faithfully preserving the architectural and spiritual character of the space.
