Qal'at al-Bahrain is a tell archaeological site located in Bahrain and inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has been continuously inhabited from around 2300 BCE to the present day and was anciently the capital of the Dilmun civilization. Numerous remains from the Hellenistic period (Tylos period) and the Islamic period are also preserved.
The subject of the 3DGS created this time is Bahrain Fort, situated atop the archaeological site. Portugal occupied Bahrain around the 16th century and constructed Bahrain Fort as its stronghold.
