The Clark Road Barn on the Shadow Pines Property collapsed on or about the morning of January 7th, 2026. This barn was originally associated with the Alpheus Clark house across the street that was built in 1832. The exact date that the barn was built is unknown, but people think it was built in the late 1800's. The Town of Penfield purchased Shadow Pines in 2018. The Town had decided to dismantle the barn to save as much of the framing timbers as possible. The future of those timbers had not yet been decided with possibilities of reconstructing the barn elsewhere, using them in pieces in other town projects, or selling them. Unfortunately, before the barn could be dismantled, it collapsed. This 3D model was created from drone videos captured on January 9th, 2026. About 5000 video frames were processed into this Gaussian Splat model using Brush (after image alignment in Agisoft Metashape). The Gaussian training process was run for 300,000 iterations and produced this model of about 3.5 million splats.
