Between 1988 and 1993, remarkable wall paintings from the 14th and 16th centuries were uncovered in the church. The restoration of the entire interior turned this branch church of Dietach into a destination for art lovers and a venue for services, weddings, baptisms and cultural events. Its most important fresco is the Madonna of Mercy (Schutzmantelmadonna), the oldest surviving depiction of this kind in Upper Austria. Captured with an XGRID Lixel laser scanner and processed in LCC Studio as a 3D Gaussian Splat.
