Mining bee macroscan - (8 million splats)

This extraordinary bee was found in Chiswick park here in London , UK by one of my sons. Mining bees are solitary and burrow into the soil to store pollen. The pollen is captured by hundreds of tiny hairs, and looks a bit like gold coins at this magnification.
