Two ancient camphor trees stand beside Miaoji Stone Bridge over the stream. The older one dates back more than 600 years, and the younger one is over 400 years old.
Thick trunks twist gracefully while upper branches grow slender, resembling giant naturally-shaped bonsai. Therefore, locals call them Bonsai Camphor Trees. The two trees lean close with overlapping canopies. Together with the ancient stone bridge and clear brook, they form a classic scenic view of Meiling.
The trees are listed as protected ancient trees in Nanchang.
Miaoji Bridge is a well-preserved single-arch stone bridge built in 1817 during the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty. It is a municipal cultural relic protection site. In ancient times, people believed the bridge could guard the village and bring good fortune.
