This memorial really stands out in this small cemetery in Dorset. It was erected in 1917 to commemorate the death a of young woman.
The gravestone is in the form of a Celtic Cross with intricately carved panels. The design includes knotwork as well as intricately carved scrolls which envelope a series of flowers. Four angels are carved into the the cross head terminals and the central panel contains an eagle with a halo, the symbol of St John.
What really makes this gravestone stand out are the hundred of small pieces of golden enamel inlay which decorate the panels on the front of the stone. Although now faded they must have shone brightly when the memorial was erected.
The splat was captured using still frames with a Sony AR7 and a 35mm lens. I did try to model the splat using video, and while the output was ok it was not as detailed as processing with the induvial images.
