Testing LASKOS' 360 Gaussian with Auto Masker, using Lichtfeld for training, cleaned up in Supersplat editor
Dataset shot with insta360 1R in 2022, 5 videos of the subject combined. MANY moving human subjects (and 360 camera operator) successfully removed with Auto Masker.
A successful first test, but individual smaller videos did a better job of focusing detail on the central part of the scene. I will continue to explore, but this looks to be an excellent one-click solution for equirectangular video that does all the hard parts for you. Excited to play with it more and optimize for quality over coverage.
