Zhao Yongxian's Mansion is a 400-year-old Ming Dynasty residence located in Nan Zhao Lane, Changshu, Jiangsu Province, China. Now preserved as a national heritage site, it was home to the renowned scholar-bureaucrat Zhao Yongxian and his son Zhao Qimei, whose private library "Mawangguan" (Insect-of-Wisdom Library) once housed over 20,000 rare ancient texts, including half of the surviving Yuan Dynasty operas. The mansion features intricate wood carvings and decorative paintings on beams and pillars, showcasing Suzhou's traditional craftsmanship. Its layout includes a central courtyard for family gatherings and a two-story library wing with fire-resistant brick walls, reflecting ancient Chinese architectural wisdom in balancing functionality and aesthetics. The site remains a rare example of Ming Dynasty residential architecture combined with a scholarly heritage, offering insights into 16th-century literati life and book preservation techniques. 赵用贤宅是一座有 400 年历史的明代宅第，位于中国江苏省常熟市南赵弄，现为全国重点文物保护单位。这里曾是明代学者赵用贤及其子赵琦美的居所，宅内 “脉望馆” 藏书楼鼎盛时收藏古籍两万余册，其中半数以上为元代杂剧孤本，对中国戏曲研究至关重要。建筑主体采用抬梁式木构架，梁枋间遍饰苏式彩画，图案融合几何纹、瑞兽与山水，工艺精湛。宅院以中轴线对称布局，前为起居庭院，后为两层藏书楼，墙体采用防火青砖砌筑，体现了古代建筑中实用与审美的结合。作为明代文人住宅与藏书文化的双重见证，赵用贤宅完整保留了 16 世纪江南士大夫的生活场景，是研究中国古代建筑技艺与典籍保护的珍贵实物。
