The quality should be pretty much the same. And yes, you can now overwrite existing splats that you've published. In the Publish dialog, select the 'Mammoth - Gigascope' from the 'Publish to' dropdown at the top of the dialog.

Would be great to see this republished using the new SOG format. The download size should drop to maybe 50MB.
