18th Century Gravestones, Burham Overy
A pair of interesting grave markers near the entrance to St Michael's Church in Burnham Overy, Norfolk. The stone on the left is decorated with the carving of two cherubs flanking a skull and cross bones. In the one on the right the pattern is reversed.
They stand out for their quirky design and stout nature. Burham Overy is now land locked but during the medieval period was a thriving port.
