Designed by Curt Herzstark and built in Liechtenstein, the Curta Type II is a pocket-sized, cylindrical mechanical calculator nicknamed the "peppermill".
It expands on the original Type I with an 11-digit setting bank and a 15-digit readout. Cranked by hand, its internal stepped drum and miniature gears handle all four basic arithmetic operations with zero batteries or electronics.
