This machine gun post at Labrador Nature Reserve is one of Singapore's few surviving coastal defence structures from the British colonial era. Built in the 1930s as part of a network protecting the western approaches to Keppel Harbour, this compact emplacement would have housed a machine gun crew tasked with defending against enemy infantry landings. The structure features thick concrete walls with narrow firing slits designed to provide protection while allowing a wide field of fire across the shoreline. Today it stands as a quiet reminder of Singapore's strategic military importance and the fortifications that once lined its coast.
I used an Insta360 X4 camera. I generated cube maps from the equirectangular images, masked out all the people in the scene and used RealityScan for the camera reconstruction. I rendered the scene using Brush.
