This high-quality 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) model showcases a historic Medieval Cathedral, reconstructed from aerial drone footage sourced from Pexels (https://www.pexels.com/).
The raw dataset contains 20 distinct drone capture videos, shot across multiple flight routes and varying times of day with dramatic lighting differences. We applied an optimized keyframe extraction pipeline to sample 374 representative aerial images (sample frame attached) from all footages as the reconstruction input data.
The entire 3DGS reconstruction workflow is powered by Seeget3D, an all-in-one photogrammetry & Gaussian Splatting modeling tool. Seeget3D delivers robust performance for complex aerial survey scenes with inconsistent illumination, efficiently processing multi-angle drone imagery to generate sharp, geometrically accurate 3DGS assets without heavy manual tuning. Whether for heritage digital archiving, architectural visualization or real-time web 3D deployment like PlayCanvas, Seeget3D simplifies end-to-end 3D capture-to-model pipelines.
