This project showcases a photorealistic 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) reconstruction of an excavator created from a set of real-world photographs.
The reconstruction preserves fine geometric details, realistic materials, and lighting while remaining lightweight enough for interactive visualization. This workflow demonstrates how 3DGS can rapidly digitize heavy machinery for inspection, documentation, training, and digital twin applications.
