The Glass Bowl with Applied Bosses is a masterpiece of Sasanian glass craftsmanship from the 6th century AD, unearthed in 1983 from the Northern Zhou Dynasty tomb of Li Xian and his wife in Guyuan, Ningxia . Now a centerpiece of the Guyuan Museum, this bowl stands at 8 cm tall with a 9.5 cm diameter, featuring a pale green sodium-calcium glass body containing fine air bubbles and adorned with 14 concave-convex bosses arranged in two staggered rows around its abdomen . Its straight rim, low ring foot, and glossy interior contrast with the weathered golden patina on the exterior, preserving the original luster uniquely well compared to Sasanian glassware found in Iran.
