Croque Madame

This splat is an artwork by Didier Bécet, part of the remaining collection preserved after the artist’s passing. Didier Bécet developed a unique and immediately recognizable technique, combining traditional canvas with sculpted relief elements made from polystyrene. These forms were hand-shaped, hardened using a specific hardener, then sealed with varnish, creating a distinctive fusion between painting and low-relief sculpture.
