Lovely little nook in Ludlow, Shropshire.
This was captured with a xGrids LixelKityK1
Was about 7 mins capture time. Did chest height, low and high level captures.

I walked quite slow - 0.5m/s. I also walked with the scanner facing different directions - the Kity has left and right facing cams, so I tried to make sure the camera was facing at the objects i wanted capturing. And if i walked up the street with the camera facing left and right, when i came back i made sure the camera was facing front and back (by walking with the scanner out to my side rather than infront of me). I wandered in squiggly lines, looped around things etc etc. Ill upload it to xgrids share as i think that viewer allows you to see the path. Ill add the link to the description when i've got it sorted :)
I think you have to over scan the scene with this method for good 3DGS outputs. It was complete overkill for 'laser capture'. The new portal cam overcomes some of this as it has front facing cameras.

Thought it was something simple as that :)
So you did three front and back walks?
I'm asking because I have the same scanner, and it doesn't come nearly as sharp as this.

Nothing complex - you can get a pole mount for the Kity. So its that with a 2m pole held above my head. For low you could actually use the invert pole mount option - so you hold the pole and walk normally but the scanner would be at knee height. for this one i just held the top of the scanner and walked a little bent over with it close to the ground!

Looks great! How are you doing the low and high-level captures? How close are you to the ground while doing the low one?
