While believed to trace back to the 18th century, no specific date has been pinpointed in local records. Upon its relocation to the Chiltern Open Air Museum, the building served as the home for local charity ‘The Hawk & Owl Trust’ also covered the costs of the dismantling, repair, and re-erection of the structure. Once a part of the Newland Park Estate and later incorporated into the Epilepsy Centre on Chesham Lane in Chalfont St Peter, holds a piece of Chiltern history. In 1993, Chiltern Open Air Museum rescued one of its structures, a splendid representation of a traditional ‘Chilterns Barn.’
