My third attempt at a macro splat. rawtherapee + zerene stacker + davinci fusion + colemap + postshot. It still has issues that I need to improve.. (camera alignment, top / bottom, masking...). www.danybittel.ch

Fusion was used to create a mask and image adjustments (glow reduction..)

So incredible!

looks amazing - everything you mentioned in the workflow makes sense, but what are you using Fusion for? thanks!

@steel. Good catch, no the exposure was locked. Two issues seem to have had that effect: the lens was not a true macro lens, it had a lot of flares, which I tried to counter act, more or less successfully and the other issue, there are no shots from above (and below), because that's where the light was, so I think it just interpolates a bit wrong.

The exposure seems view dependent. Did you forget to lock the camera exposure?

Incredible splat! Is there a method to experience it in VR? The spatial scale in 3D would be impressive.

very nice, splats are so good for this kind of subject
I suspect many museums would have tons of splatable-ready stuff

Truly remarkable. I'm thinking this would work well with the upcoming support for annotations (for educational purposes).

Thanks.. I moved the camera on a focus rail, each perspective had 15 photos stacked. 4 loops, 36 each loop (2160 photos total)

I have not yet seen any macro splat of this quality. How many exposures have you stacked per perspective and have you moved the camera or the focus?
