The dock bug looks similar to a stink bug, but is reddish-brown and does not belong to the same family. It is very common throughout Europe and is often found hiding in dense vegetation. Like other true bugs, it has piercing and sucking mouth trunk. On the sides of the thorax, just above the legs, are openings of the scent glands, from which it can release strong smelling and irritating chemicals when disturbed. Along the sides of its body are several spiracles, small openings used for oxygen exchange. The legs are connected to the body by articulated joints, allowing a wide range of movement. Shot from 128 perspectives, 16 focus stacked images each. Nikon D810, cropped sensor, f/16, ISO 100, Tamron 90mm macro lens and 30mm extension, with small Strobe on greenscreen. www.patreon.com/DanyBittel
