This colossal face can be found while walking in the heart of the Boboli Gardens, near the large Prato dei Castagni, on the left going towards the Porcelain Museum. The sculptor of Polish origins Mitoraj named it Tindaro, a figure from Greek mythology: king of the ancient and glorious city of Sparta, Tindaro, husband of Leda, is the father of Clytemnestra and according to some versions also of the beautiful Helen.
